I cannot recommend ABQ Garage highly enough. Here’s why:

I had used another local garage door company for years for both my home and rental properties. Recently, I decided to upgrade my home garage door opener to one with an app and camera. That seemingly simple upgrade turned into WEEKS of frustration.

Once my old company installed the new opener, I started getting phantom power-outage and battery-backup notifications—even though the opener didn’t have a battery. Worse, my garage door began refusing to stay closed. It would reach the ground and then repeatedly open itself back up.

Over the course of SIX visits, my previous garage door company sent two different technicians and installed THREE different garage door openers—two Kwikset units and eventually a LiftMaster. I even hired an electrician because we thought there might be an electrical problem. After more than $1,200 spent, countless hours, three openers, six service calls, and an electrician, nobody could figure it out.

A couple of hours after the third opener was installed, the exact same problem started again.

That’s when I found ABQ Garage.

Daniel came to my house and diagnosed the problem in about 15 MINUTES and FIXED IT. Seriously—15 minutes.

He figured out what two other garage door technicians, an electrician, six service calls, three different garage door openers, and more than $1,200 could not.

I was absolutely blown away by his knowledge and ability to actually troubleshoot the problem instead of simply replacing equipment and hoping for the best. Like my old company did.

ABQ Garage has earned my business going forward—for both my home and rental properties. If you want someone who actually understands garage door systems and knows how to diagnose a difficult problem, call ABQ Garage.

Daniel, thank you for finally ending this nightmare. Five stars doesn’t feel like enough.

Daniel arrived precisely on time.
My garage door has not been used for 4 years and not been serviced for at least 8 years when I bought the house, more than likely longer.
It was noisy when it opened and closed, now it purrs.

I bought a universal clicker off Amazon but it wouldn't engage with the door, so Daniel had an OEM clicker and I was able to buy that from him and it works like a charm. And he programmed it for me.

I also had an old keypad outside the garage, and no clue what the password was, so Daniel cleared that and allowed me to enter in a new password of my choice.

The whole thing took less than 30 minutes.

I would so recommend Daniel if you are having any kind of garage door issues or if your door needs to purr again.

ABQ Garage Doors is far and away the best for garage door service. They are most friendly, efficient, competent and prepared. I simply won’t deal with any other company.

I return home, tried to close the garage door and found out the steel cable came off the drum on the door. Of course it couldn't have happen on a week day. It happen on "Labor Day" weekend (Sunday) late afternoon. I called a nationwide company and they indicated they couldn't get to me until the next day. I called "ABQ Garage Doors" and spoke with "Daniel". He arrived within the hour. He fixed the problem, tuned up the garage door and even fixed a mistake made by another installer. I would highly recommend "ABQ Garage Doors", and "Daniel" for repairs, installations and emergency situation regrading your garage door.
